Papparich Westfield Riccarton, Christchurch.
Restaurant Design
The
Brief.
When Papparich approached us, they had a clear vision: to create a stand-alone restaurant on brand and would combine modern aesthetics with a nod towards the vibrant Malaysian culture, while also appealing to the local site.
Our
Solution.
We started by taking a close look at materiality. From terracotta and terrazzo stone tiles, colour tones that reminiscent of the picturesque beaches, formed the foundation of the space.
Tropical artwork added a touch of vibrancy and authenticity. Soft creamy warm tones adorned the walls, creating an atmosphere of comfort and tranquility. Rattan lighting details provided a gentle illumination, enhancing the overall allure.
True to our ethos of beautiful spaces built on strong brands we have integrated bold use of brand identity, creating a harmonious connection between the design and the culinary experience.
Our challenge was to infuse warmth, sophistication, and a touch of Malaysia into the space, all while staying true to the brand's identity. With a 300-square-meter area and a fully functional kitchen, we had the opportunity to design a visually stunning restaurant that caters to both large groups and intimate dinners, all within a specified budget.
The
Results.
